Personal Data Protection Policy
The Personal Data Protection Policy defines how personal data are collected, processed and protected by Ana Delija, court interpreter and translator, and Doroteja Ivanjko, court interpreter and translator (hereinafter: the Service Provider).
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, in particular in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, and is based on the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency.
Collection of personal data
Personal data refers to any information that identifies, or can be used to identify a person.
Personal data are collected exclusively when voluntarily provided by the Client, for example via email, by telephone or when submitting documentation for the purpose of translation or court interpreting services. The data processed in this context may include identification and contact details, as well as the content of documents submitted for the purpose of providing the requested service. If the Client does not provide the data necessary for the performance of the service, the Service Provider will not be able to process the request or undertake the obligation to provide the service.
Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Personal data is processed for the purpose of communicating with the Client, preparing cost estimate, concluding and performing contracts, issuing invoices, maintaining business records and fulfilling legal obligations. The processing is based on the Client`s consent, the taking of steps at the Client`s request prior to entering into a contract, the performance of a contractual relationship, or compliance with a legal obligation, depending on the specific circumstances. Personal data is not used for any other purposes and is not disclosed to third parties, except where this is necessary for the performance of the service, the protection of rights and legitimate interests, or where disclosure is required by competent authorities in accordance with the law.
Confidentiality and Professional Secrecy
All data and documents received for the purpose of translation or interpreting services shall be treated as confidential. The Service Provider undertakes to handle all documentation diligently and discreetly, and to use it exclusively for the purpose for which it was provided. Documentation and personal data shall not be made available to unauthorized persons, and access is strictly limited to the Service Provider.
Client Rights
The Client has the right to request access to their personal data, as well as to request correction, supplementation, deletion, or restriction of processing. The Client also has the right to withdraw consent if the processing is based on consent. Requests can be submitted via email to the following addresses: doroteja.ivanjko@gmail.com or delija.anaa@gmail.com. Any request received will be responded to no later than within one month.
Right to File a Complaint
If the Client believes that their personal data is being processed in violation of applicable regulations, they have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.
Automatic Data Collection
When visiting the website, certain technical data that does not enable the identification of an individual may be collected automatically, such as the type of browser, operating system and time of access. This data is used exclusively to ensure the functionality and security of the website.
